An Interactive and Iterative Approach to Strategic Planning

Everyone's Moving Fast... You've Got to be FASTER!

Many people seem to think that Strategic Planning is a dull, esoteric process that doesn’t have a place in today’s fast paced marketplace. From our point of view, Strategic Planning is needed today more than ever - if it is conducted as a dynamic, interactive process that produces a working document which measures the progress of an organization on a regular basis.

Do you have a current Strategic Plan? If so, is it used as a guide for existing and proposed programs?  We have included a brief summary of my approach to planning. If you would like to discuss it we would be happy to talk with you at your convenience.

STEPS IN THE PROCESS

1.) Organize the Project.

2.) Conduct a detailed assessment of the current state of the organization.
This Assessment serves as a base line starting point for the development of Strategic Options.

3.) Analyze the data and create an Assessment Summary Document.

4.) Interview key stakeholders inside & outside the organization.

5.) With the organization's leadership, develop a list of Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats ( S.W.O.T.) to the organization.

6.) Address strategic questions.

7.) Develop Implementation Plan with timelines and personnel assignments.
